Lactic Acid (10%)
Lactic acid belongs to the alpha-hydroxy acid family and is derived from natural fermentation, making it one of the gentlest yet most effective chemical exfoliants available. At 10%, it works by dissolving the bonds that hold dead skin cells to the surface, accelerating the natural shedding process that slows significantly with age and sun exposure. Unlike physical scrubs that can cause micro-tears, lactic acid works uniformly across the entire surface overnight, revealing fresher, more even skin by morning. Its larger molecular size compared to glycolic acid also means it penetrates more gradually, making it effective without the sensitivity risk of stronger acids.

Hyaluronic Acid (1%)
The inclusion of 1% hyaluronic acid in an exfoliating formula is a deliberate and considered choice. Chemical exfoliation temporarily increases transepidermal water loss, the rate at which moisture evaporates from the skin's surface. Sodium hyaluronate compensates for this by drawing and binding moisture at the skin's surface simultaneously, ensuring the exfoliation process does not compromise hydration. The result is skin that feels softer and more supple after use rather than tight or reactive.

White Tea Extract
Derived from the youngest, least processed leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant grown on organically managed farms, white tea extract contains the highest concentration of catechins and polyphenols found in any form of tea. These compounds are among the most potent antioxidants known to skincare science, neutralising the free radicals generated by UV exposure and pollution that accelerate surface skin ageing. Applied overnight alongside an exfoliant, white tea amplifies the renewal process while providing protection against the oxidative stress that would otherwise undermine it.

Sage Extract
Organically grown Salvia Officinalis, or common sage, has been used in Mediterranean herbal traditions for its purifying and balancing properties for centuries. Its active compounds, including rosmarinic acid and flavonoids, calm inflammation and regulate sebum production, making it particularly valuable in an exfoliating formula where the skin needs simultaneous stimulation and soothing. For skin that tends toward congestion or uneven texture, sage supports the lactic acid's renewal work while keeping the complexion balanced and comfortable throughout.

Apply a few drops to clean, dry skin in the evening, after cleansing and toning. Avoid the eye area. Do not rinse. Allow to absorb fully and follow with your moisturiser to seal in hydration. Begin with 2 to 3 applications per week, gradually increasing frequency as your skin builds tolerance. Always apply SPF the following morning when using AHA products. Not recommended for use during pregnancy.
